Product Overview
Double Check Valve with cast iron body - epoxy coated for protection of drinking water systems.
A stainless steel spring closing mechanism allows the valve to operate in any orientation and is immune to water hammer. Water tight closure is achieved by an EPDM seal. The most common application is commercial water softeners of the common salt type.

Model ED402 (PN16 flanged type)
Where indicated on the drawing a double non return valve (check) with PN16 flanges shall be installed – model ED402 - as distributed by Arrow Valves Ltd – Tel 01442 823123 www.arrowvalves.co.uk. The pressure drop across the assembly at 1.5 m/s shall be less than 0.06 bar. The body shall be epoxy coated cast iron and incorporate a stainless steel spring closing mechanism.
Model ED202 (FBSPP type)
Where indicated on the drawing a double non return valve (check) with female BSP connections shall be installed – model ED202 - as distributed by Arrow Valves Ltd – Tel 01442 823123 www.arrowvalves.co.uk. The pressure drop across the assembly at 1.5 m/s shall be less than 0.06 bar. The body shall be epoxy coated cast iron and incorporate a stainless steel spring closing mechanism.
Application
• Backflow prevention for fluids in categories 1 – 3 (refer to Schedule 1 of Water Regulations July 1999). Fluid Category 3 includes -
• Water softening – commercial (common salt)
• Whole site protection – where category 3 required
• Application deemed category 3 by the water company
