Product Overview
Industrial and tamperproof Standpipe assembly with hose outlet for use in commercial areas. The Standpipe is intended for permanent fixture and houses a Reduced Pressure Zone valve (type BA device), which provides backflow protection to Fluid Category 4. The Standpipe is normally supplied with mains water from a buried supply pipe but can also be supplied above ground from the rear.
The Standpipe is supplied fully assembled and tested. A DZR brass compression fitting for MDPE is included and no additional parts are normally necessary - see Associated Products.
The Standpipe is supplied with a brass quick release hose connector, which is compatible with the Hozelock system.

Specification Clause
A hose union outlet shall be located in a tamperproof housing; comprising of a galvanised steel body, finished with a dark green nylon coating – model SPBA - as manufactured and distributed by Arrow Valves Ltd - Tel 01442 823123 www.arrowvalves.co.uk. The unit shall be suitable for Fluid Category 4 protection and feature a BA device. The unit shall incorporate a drain tap allowing the assembly to be drained when not used. When mounting in soft ground a hot dip galvanised pile shall be used with stainless steel fasteners. No below ground connections shall be made and a 2-pipe Tee Assembly installed in the lower part of the standpipe where the pipe is to continue. The tap outlet shall have a DN201 quick release brass plug and socket arrangement. A long weatherproof padlock shall be provided. The inlet shall be suitable for 252 MDPE3 pipe.
