External Hose union taps need protecting against

• Backflow
• Frost
• Vandalism

Model SPED is a freestanding unit with protection against fluid category 3. This is generally acceptable for "domestic use".

Model SPBA provides fluid category 4 protection, which includes many commercial applications. For category 5 protection, use model SPED and supply from a break tank with a type AB air gap, for example our break tank and pump package on a base plate - Model BTABV.
