1/2″ Miniature Standpipe Ground

Tamperproof outside hose tap in stainless steel enclosure, with spherical type angled valve and hose connector. The SPTB has a hinged tap cover, which can be secured with a padlock, to prevent misuse or tampering. The permanent low level Standpipe is designed to be buried in soft ground (such as flower beds). The height from the outlet to ground complies with the Water Regulations. The outlet is horizontal, which is ideal for a hose pipe. The housing includes foam insulation, which provides a reasonable level of frost protection, which provides a reasonable level of frost resistance for the valves and pipe. The Standpipe features a Double Check Valve providing Fluid Category 3 protection. A servicing valve is also supplied and all serviceable components are accesible from the front.

Where indicated on the drawing, a Miniature Standpipe with Hose Tap shall be located in a compact stainless steel housing – model SPTB – as manufactured by Arrow Valves Ltd – Tel 01442 823123 www.arrowvalves.co.uk. The overall height shall be less than 300 mm. The supply pipe shall be 25 MDPE – model SPTB15x25[1]. The assembly shall incorporate a servicing valve and Double Check Valve for Fluid Category 3 protection. A weatherproof padlock with two keys shall be provided to secure the hinged lid – model SP35[2]. A stainless steel Hose Shield shall be provided – model HUSHIELD[3].

Where indicated on the drawing, a Pressure Reducing Valve shall be fitted – model PRV535 – as distributed by Arrow Valves Ltd – Tel 01442 823123 www.arrowvalves.co.uk. The PRV shall be direct acting and have an adjustable outlet pressure ranging from 1 – 6 bar and have a maximum supply pressure of 25 bar. The design shall be of the removable cartridge type. A pressure gauge shall be provided to indicate the downstream pressure. The body shall be DZR brass with solder union connections for secure connection to copper tube1.
