EA453 Single Check Valve PN16

The Socla EA453 Verifiable Single Check Valve is approved for backflow protection. The valve is servicable allowing the cartridge to be changed in-situ via the inspection cover on the top of the valve. The ductile iron body is epoxy coated and suitable for wholesome water.
To comply with WRAS regulations and fluid category 2 backflow protection the valve must be installed in the horizontal orientation.

Backflow prevention for fluids in category 2 (refer to Schedule 1 of Water Regulations July 1999). Fluid Category 2 includes- Fire sprinkler systems without additives; Hot water; Water cooled air conditioning without additives; Branch to steel pipe; Domestic softening plant (common salt regeneration); Whole site protection as specified by water company.

Where indicated on the drawing a Water Regulations approved verifiable single check valve with PN16 flanges shall be installed – model EA453 – as distributed by Arrow Valves Ltd – Tel 01442 823123 www.arrowvalves.co.uk. The pressure drop across the assembly at 2 m/s shall be less than 0.1 bar. The body shall be epoxy coated ductile iron and incorporate a stainless steel spring closing mechanism. The valve shall be serviceable allowing the cartridge to be changed in-situ via the inspection cover.
