EC453 Double Check Valve PN16

The Socla EC453 Verifiable Double Check Valve is approved for backflow protection. The valve is serviceable allowing the cartridges to be changed in-situ via the inspection covers on the top of the valve. The ductile iron body is epoxy coated and suitable for wholesome water. A stainless steel spring closing mechanism allows the valve to operate as a non-return valve in any orientation and is immune to water hammer. Water tight closure is achieved at high as well as low pressure by an EPDM seal.
To comply with WRAS regulations and fluid category 2 backflow protection the valve must be installed in the horizontal.

Where indicated on the drawing a Water Regulations approved verifiable double check valve with PN16 flanges shall be installed – model EC453 – as distributed by Arrow Valves Ltd – Tel 01442 823123 www.arrowvalves.co.uk. The pressure drop across the assembly at 1 m/s shall be less than 0.1 bar. The body shall be epoxy coated ductile iron and incorporate a stainless steel spring closing mechanism. The valve shall be serviceable allowing the cartridge to be changed in-situ via the inspection cover.
