At Arrow Valves we like a challenge, and also like doing things together, both of which will serve us well as we have signed up for the Tough Mudder Half in London, Saturday 17th of September.

We have previously supported The Peter Andre Foundation in aid of Cancer Research and are doing so again for this important cause.

Arrow Valves will match the total figure raised via our Just Giving page and donate to The Toy Project – providing toys for use by organisations involved with child bereavement – helping children deal with their grief through play.

Please visit our Just Giving page for more information, and to donate. We greatly appreciate your generosity – let the training commence and watch this space for our finishing photo!

Product Innovations and News: Introducing the Automatic Waterstop Valve

Protect your white goods from flood damage due to a ruptured hose.

There are two words that no one ever wants to hear…

“Flood Damage.”

A ruptured hose for a washing machine or a dishwasher could potentially cause thousands of pounds worth of damage – not to mention the time spent clearing the problem, and the personal possessions that are lost!
Appliances such as washing machines and dishwashers would require a regular water supply of approximately 0.2 litres per second, and a leak fed at this flow rate can cause serious damage to a property.

Arrow Valves introduce the “Automatic Waterstop Valve”, specifically designed to protect domestic appliances from causing major leaks due to a ruptured hose. This device will automatically shut off the water supply to the appliance when it detects an excess flow of at least 0.3 litres per second – in the event of a break or rupture to the hose, or if it is completely detached from the line.

This valve works with both cold and hot water, and is suitable for use with washing machines, dishwashers and plumbed fridge freezers.
The Automatic Waterstop Valve prevents the problem before it can even occur, protecting your white goods, your possessions and your home, and you can ensure “flood damage” are two words you don’t have to hear!
Please visit our product page here for technical data and to purchase this valve.

The Automatic Waterstop Valve has a female inlet and male outlet. This configuration is ideal for washing machines and dishwashing machine hoses.

Warning: The Waterstop safety device will not work with water mains pressures below 1 bar.

BIM Ready

Following the government mandate, Arrow Valves are keen to become ‘BIM ready’.

As we’re sure you’re all aware, it is now a government requirement that all centrally-funded projects (such as schools, hospitals and government buildings) will now require the implementation of BIM at level 2.
BIM (Building Information Modelling) is a computer generated 3D model of a building, detailing all of the critical information of the equipment installed within it.

Here at Arrow Valves, we understand that many of our products are widely used in such projects, and so we are keen to become ‘BIM ready’. We have an extensive library of 3D drawings for our products that can be easily imported into your own models. We hope that by providing these drawings, we can help you to adhere to the guidelines and standards that have been set out.

For further information on the government mandate, visit http://bim-level2.org/

If you would like to request our BIM library, or a 3D drawing of a specific product, please email us on technical@arrowvalves.co.uk
